We’ve been getting a lot of inquiries from our clients in regards to Covid-19. We want to take a few moments to address some of the most Frequently Asked Questions we’ve received.
What does it mean for Fergusson to be Covid-safe?
Covid-safe means that we are taking extra measures to guarantee the safety and health of our customers and employees. It includes more stringent sanitary requirements, face masks, and other modifications. Fergusson Yarra Valley is dedicated to the health and safety of our visitors and employees. We also want to inform you of some of the measures we’ve taken in order to meet government standards while also keeping everyone safe.
What key measures has Fergusson implemented to prevent the spread of Covid-19?
Fergusson Winery has implemented a number of key measures to prevent the spread of Covid -19 at our restaurant. This includes:
- Hygiene: We give single-use disposable napkins to our visitors. For your convenience, we’ve also placed hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the venue.
- Payment: We offer primarily electronic payment or contactless payment to prevent the spread of illness through handling cash.
- Ongoing cleaning: We clean on a regular basis, so you’ll see us coming and going throughout your service. We’ve increased the frequency of cleaning, with a particular emphasis on high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, tapware, toilets, and handrails.
- Training: We regularly refresh Covid-safe staff training for all our team members.
What staff training have you given your employees?
We’ve taken additional precautions for our employees, such as rigorous hand-washing, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and cleaning/disinfecting all surfaces on a regular basis. We’ve also given training best guide customers through our new policies. This training is updated on a regular basis in order to incorporate the most up-to-date information from the Victorian Government.
Where are the hand sanitisers located?
Hand sanitizers are available at the entrance to our restaurant, along with exits and in all guest bathrooms. Guests are also welcome to clean their hands with hand sanitizer before and after handling any menus or other common surfaces. Our hand sanitizers are labeled, cleaned on a regular basis, and refilled.
How do you manage the flow of visitors at Fergusson Yarra Valley?
We manage the flow of visitors by having a control system in place, with a team member available to assist and direct guests. You will be directed to your booking area by a member of our team, and they will be present throughout the night to prevent bottlenecks or crowding.
What safety measures have you put in place for your service?
We have taken several precautions to ensure the safety of our visitors and employees, including having hand sanitizer available and ensuring that surfaces are cleaned on a regular basis. We request that guests follow these procedures to assist us in keeping everyone safe.
Do I need to wear a face mask when I visit?
No, face masks are not necessary for entry. If you feel more comfortable wearing one, feel free to do so, but they are not enforced.
What are the conditions of entry for Fergusson Yarra Valley?
Customers and employees are not required to use the Service Victoria App to check-in and enter. However, we request that you stay at home if you are unwell or have symptoms of Covid-19. We’d be glad to reschedule your reservation for another day if this is the case.
Will the restaurant be open for business as usual?
Fergusson Yarra Valley will be open Wednesday to Sunday. We will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
